David Byrne and Brian Eno’s monumental album, My Life in the Bush of Ghosts, has inspired and influenced musicians and artists the world over since it hit the airwaves in 1981. The 2006 rerelease of this seminal collaboration was not without avant guard nostalgia and new inspiration primed for twenty first century experimentation.

Project Description

From opposite sides of the Atlantic, Byrne and Eno’s Record labels (Nonesuch Records and EMI Records UK), established dual online environments to interact with the expansive fan base and to promote the album’s celebratory rerelease. Having had a long history working with Byrne and his personal record label Luaka Bop, Byrne contacted FDT to design and develop the album’s promotional site. The site would become an interactive scrap book of sorts to archive drawings, photographs and press clippings from the original LP as well as post new new press. FDT worked with Byrne to strategize the necessary functions build a secure area to download a comprehensive press kit, and a listening gallery offered the public track snippets of each song. The site design visually encapsulated the essense of the music and complimented the original LP package.
